Not sure if this is the right forum but I'm sure the mods will move it if it isn't.

Anyway, looking through the list of what is coming to Farnborough http://www.farnborough.com/Aircraft/aircraft.asp I noticed there is nothing from BAE SYSTEMS at all. This must the first time the UKs biggest aerospace company can't find anything to send.
The Nimrod MR.2, Harrier and Hawk T.1 are from the RAF and there is no Typhoon on the list either. I know they don't build civil aircraft anymore but this seems to be a poor effort. I wonder if the sponsorship of RIAT has anything to do with the lack of support at FI2004

A long way from the 1986 "Chariots of Fire" thing.

JimTap,

A340, A318, A319, all three as much BAES as they are anything else.

Don't worry Jimmy, the 1:1 scale Airfix Typhoon is already there... the PR-types always claim it "generates a lot of interest" ;)

I've heard that there is also a (non-flying) Mil Mi-24 in BAE markings too.

Meanwhile, over at RIAT, the last wholly-BAE designed military aircraft will be celebrating its 30th birthday.

Rhys.

The BAe Systems corporate shuttle will still make its twice daily display, all the way from Warton, a good old 146 too :}

Except that our shuttle now operates under the banner of Corporate Air Travel (CAT - hence the callsign FELIX).

The BAE sticker on the side is VERY small

Looks like the Typhoons have gone to RIAT instead.

Oh well

Sorry, 2 Typhoons in the static park, one is now displaying on the public days apparently.
