Hi all. I come with nothing more exciting than a request for help I'm afraid.

I need to find out what manufacturer and model of gyrocopter was used by the Metropolitan police (London) during the 1930s. I've spent most of the last 2 days scouring the web for more info without being able to pin this down. If any aviation history buffs can point me in the right direction it would be very much appreciated. And if anyone has a picture of the relevant model, that would be awesomely useful!

Many thanks!

A Cierva appears to have been used according to this document

Police Aviation Chronology (http://www.policeaviationnews.com/Acrobat/index/PDFchron.pdf)

And in this one it gives G-ABUD Cierva C.19 and G-ACIN Cierva C.30 as having been used :ok:

More here .. with a couple of small pics

Hi,
There was a couple of artiles that covered police in the air in a well known UK magazine a few years ago. Not the one beginning with 'F', the one beguinning with 'A'.
