Rumour has it that the FAA no longer has any centres in the UK that offer their computerised FAA written exams. Is there any truth in that ? If there are any that anybody knows, could l please have the contact details of the centres ? It seems the only place that offers the FAA written exams outside USA is Flight Safety in Le Bourget.

The closest one that I could find was a LaserGrade in Ireland.

I also found a website with a UK phonenumber.

http://www.atlasaviation.com/testing%20centers/computer_testing_designees.htm

Seems from my brief search that you may not be able to take the exams in the UK anymore.

Pity as that is how I did mine.

Yes, it is true

From the first of May, the FAA closed down all test centres in Europe except Flight Safety, Le Bourget and one at Egelsbach Germany.

Errr....correct me if I'm wrong, but theres this place in Norwich Airport that does them. They always advertise in 'Pilot' and those kinda mags. Forgot what they're called, but they pride themselves on being the only people in Europe to offer full FAA training. Read the advert this morning in 'Pilot' I think. And it said the written exams are done there too.

Oh yeah, and you can do them at the US Embassy in London too. Forgot to add that.

Thx.
