I bet this question has been asked before, nay, I know it's been asked before 'cause I did (but I can't search for it since the sytem does not allow two letter searches...).

Anyway, I'm off to Faro in August with the sprogs and Mrs Words on GB Airways.

Question is: have they completed their migration to Airbus or is it possible we might end up on a 737? (nothing wrong with that I hasten to add, just curious). Their site says they still have 737s but I read elsewhere (but where, I don't know) that it might be out of date?

Cheers
Charles

All Airbus's at the moment . Mostly A320's but some A321's.

No more 737s scheduled for GB; don't know if they've actually sold them off yet. Suppose the only chance might be if they needed to subcharter to cover a problem they'd possibly look to BA and a Gatwick 737.

If you're off to Faro I expect you'll end up on an A320; most of the A321s are busy with the runs to the Canaries.

GB's latest A320 (G-TTOI) was delivered only a couple of months ago and G-TTOJ is expected immenently so with any luck you'll end up on one of those brand new super-clean ones!

320 it is then :ok:

Wannabe Flyboy - Airliners.net shows both G-TTOI and G-TTOJ being operational - since Dec '03 and April '04 respectively - are there expecting some more with different regs maybe?

Cheers,
Charles

A manoffewwords

U r right G-TTOI/J have been operational for a couple of months now, and are great with the heated floors in the forward galley!

We are an all airbus airline now, and both aircraft operate all over the network, so until the rosters come out in july, i am not able to say whether you will be on the A320 or A321.

If the aircraft does have a problem it is unlikely that you would go on a ba B737-4, more likely it seems on astreaus B737-3/7, but this does'nt seem to happen as often now.

If you get in touch with me towards the end of july, should be able to tell you what plane you will be on, and even if i am on the crew, would be nice to meet some fellow pruners.

Yours crm

Thanks for that c.r.m what is it -- will do.

Btw, to save you time during the cabin service, I'll have a Gin & Tonic - stirred, not shaken! :) Thanks!

Cheers,
Charles
