Sorry if this has been talked about before but I am sure I saw a BEA Trident at Heathrow today as we taxied out of T2 en route CDG.

It was there when I came back tonight so I know I wasn't dreaming.

What's it doing there??

It doesn't work though unfortunately!

I think it's for cabin crew training, but I'm sure that someone far more up-to-date than me will respond...

It`s G-AWZK most of the systems work but it`s had it`s wings clipped

Should be going to Manchester soon when the money is raised to join G-BOAC

Was up until recently used for tug crew training as the off set nose wheel is quite hard to judge so when the crews get on the real deal they are ahead of the curve.

Excellent example and worth saving ....

I have a question, what were the variants of the Trident, and engine configurations?

I know there were some types fitted with a '4th' 'booster' engine to enhance performance....
