The 7th Jet2 aircraft to be based at LBA has arrived and was paraded in front of the press today. Reason for the interest is the large 'Yorkshire' logo and white rose emblem on both sides of the fuselage.

Surprisingly, other than advertising the region around Jet2's existing European network, there were no details on what additional work the new aircraft would be doing.

Driving down the M11 towards Stansted recently, I overtook two articulated lorries which were both emblazened with the Jet2 logo and route information.

Just curious as to what they could be carrying.

Other than being large adverts nothing very exciting as I think they are a haulage company that is linked in some way

As has been discussed before on the forums, Dart Group is the owner of both Channel Express and Fowler Welch-Coolchain. The lorries operate for the latter and are involved in chilled produce distribution. The airline merely use the wagons as mobile advertisments no doubt being cheaper than conventional marketing rates!

Of course their Belfast based aircraft, G-CELY is a QC machine and is used on post/freight work by night and pax sorties during the day.
