Can anyone tell me if Airlift International is still in operation, or if it was bought out by another company and if so where it is loccated ? Help ! Any info is welcome.

But, I am not sure about the certificate...might have been purchased.
The original Airlift was created by the merger of Slick, Riddle...and another company which I can't remember at the moment.

The merger occured in the early 60s
I think the first ever aircraft purshased new under Airlift banner were the 707-320s then the DC.8-63CFs which replaced them :suspect:
But things got somewhat airy and they operated some DC.8F54 and 55 until the early 90s. Last ops were undertaken on a very limited scale with a Fairchild 27 and a 227 ! Grandeur et décadence (Rise and Fall) :{

According to AeroTransport Data Bank (http://www.aerotransport.org), Airlift International entered Chapter 11 in 1981 until they were acquired by George Batchelor (of Air Arrow fame) in 1992.
