Hello,

Any recommendations for CPL training in Scotland? I'm thinking of either Tayside, Tayflite or the new set-up @ Prestwick....(Uk Flight Training?)

Any help from ex-students, or simply those with something helpful would be much appreciated.

Thank you,

Lee

Sandy Torrance at Tayside in Perth got me through the CPL and FIC, and Tayflite did the business for the ME/IR.

Both outfits will do their best to help you get to where you want to be, and I'd recommend them for any of the above courses.

Thankyou, Blackshift. What did you do for accommodation @ Perth?

Two sources of accom. available on the airfield at Perth. There's also a cafe & a watering hole. A bus service runs from Perth past the airfield gates.

I too endorse Tayflight. I was very happy with my treatment there when I converted to a pommy ATPL some years ago.

Regarding Perth, I think Tayside only go up to CPL/ FI.
For the ME IR you need Tayflite.
I did my MEP and ME IR recently with Tayflite and would highly recommend them.

Did my cpl/ir with them last year and also would highly recommend them.
When I was there a couple of the students rented a chalet/caravan at a site about 4 miles north of the airfield and were very happy with the location and price. Although I can't remember the exact details I could find them out, just PM me.
good luck
