hi chaps,

i might be inbound LHR sometime soon,and on the layover would like to do some planespotting at LGW or LHR...Whats it like there for spotters these days?

I was last over there 3 years back,before all the 9/11 trouble,so,as far as security goes,is spotting a hassle?

are the decks at lhr and lgw still open?

also,do you get hasseled these days if you spot at the end of the rwy?

many thanks:ok:

LHR deck closed for some time. You may get hasseled pending the mood of the Met Pol that addresses you. But you will be one of some hundreds.

thanks for that info...i wonder why they don't just put in a metal detector and search everyone's belongings like they do at the deck at kloten?

seems to work nicely there.

anyway,the met pol better not be in a nasty/grumpy/officious mood when i'm there,i've just about had it with British bad attitude!

Thanks again :{

Jettesen, I think LGW gallery is now closed. Havent seen anyone on it for a while. I think they used the building works as an excuse.

Greetings, spotters. Come over and play with us lot (we're the ones who annoyingly insist on moving the things with the letters on, making them hard to write down) http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=128992
