Duo were an airline based at Birmingham that arose out of the ashes of Maersk flying there under a BA franchise.

They have just gone bust and therefore there are now this morning dozens of experienced jet pilots dusting off their CV's.

Not good news for anybody - including Wannabes.

Sorry,

Seems to be the normal chain of events, good recruiting news over the last year or so followed up by airlines going bust, each cancelling the other out.

Good luck to all those who are now on the market, couldn't be worse for wannabees.

The BBC news is saying Duo had 300 staff - how many of those where pilots? Anyone know?

oapilot,
I am sorry to hear this. Would it be unreasonable to ask you to keep us posted on your experiences of getting a job after being made redundant?
I think that it would be interesting to learn about the details of getting a job from this perspective. :ok:
Thanks,
POL.
