Is it now too late for LBA to become the International airport to serve the region. Could it be that years of bad management by amateur council members has now left the door open for professional companies like Peel to attract the airlines to Robin Hood which now has 15 TUI flights next year to LBA`s 11.This is probably just the tip of the iceberg.
So is LBA doing too little too late?Ed Anderson stated that not one airline had complained about runway length.Did anyone ask?
Did anyone ask Britannia for example what would it take for them to expand operations at Leeds.
It is now looking as though the additional check-in desks on the add-on lean to,will not be needed if the charter airlines pull out.

Britannia is maintaining a based aircraft at LBA for Summer 2005. MYT is not expected to base aircraft from Winter 2004 onwards, but that is more a reflection of downsizing of its business as a whole and you could reasonably expect to see other one-aircraft bases for MYT like Stansted come under threat in the short to medium term. What on earth are you banging on about?
