I stand by to be ridiculed, but at LGW they have a plane on the 'spotters' viewing area. Is this pic just an exaggerated version of LGW?

PS - I have never actually been onto the viewing area at Gatters because they actually charge you money to stand in the cold.

On a serious note, I thinkwhat you can see in the piture is the parking area by the runway 26 threshold. The airport is built up on a bank all around that side of the airport, so many of the roads and buildings that aren't on that bank are well below airfield level.

It's a very special memorial park at ZRH. Each aircaft contains the body of one CEO or Chairman of the Board, that has tried to make Swiss/Cross Air profitable.

As the a/c are on a windy ledge, they needed more ballast, so the cargo holds are full of the bodies of staff and their wallets.

It's obviously a Swiss Airline Penknife, the one closest to the camera is used for getting boy scouts out of horses hooves.

On that theme...

They continue to add more and more ingenious gadgets to these Swiss penknives.... At CEBIT there was one on show show that had a USB memory storage device in it alongside numerous knife blades and other pointy things. According to the manufacturer (who was interviewed on TV) they plan to do a version suitable for airside shops.... A Swiss knife without the knife perhaps?

It's the Basel Museum of Saab Logos, situated on the roof of the Crossair, sorry Swiss Training Centre.

It's been open to the public for some weeks now and the money raised has gone towards Andre's leaving present.
