MyTravel A330's

Does anybody know when MYT ar getting the A330's painted up? Also, what's happening to their DC-10-30? I know that the 10-10's are now in exeter, and have heared they are being sold off as cargo a/c

The DC10-10's are now at the Gloucestershire airliner graveyard known as Kemble...taxied right past them in my 172 last week!

The DC10-30 is now their longhaul standby aircraft in Manchester.

Doubt if the 330's will be getting a paint job in the near future. Summer's a couple of weeks away and they've all got a fairly busy programme. Would imagine that winter 04/05 will be the soonest, dependent on the Hajj etc.

The DC10-30 will be retired later in the year rumoured to be replaced by an additional 767.

Where do you get yr info re the DC10-30 retiring? Not heard anything along those lines.

Reliably informed 1st 330 (G-OMYT) will change colour in November '04 presumably followed by the others in turn.
Which way does the Hajj move on the calender ? earlier or later each year ?

oh right! as, last year i read a new letter what Manchester Airport viewing Shop sell, and it sais in them that MyTravel we're aiming to have all a/c painted up by November 2003!

The info regarding the DC10 has come from various flightcrews, I am not sure when its D check is due but am informed that the aircraft will be retired then much the same as monarch did with theirs as it is not economical to spend the millions required for this check.
