PIA planning Los Angeles this year

They may launch service to the city by August using a 747-300 via Tokyo, earlier they were to wait till the next batch of 777s arrived. LA will be their fourth destination in the US which includes New York, Chicago and Houston(from May), they also flew to washington D.C from 1997-99.

Very nice too!!!!! What ashame they stopped the flights to Toronto Chicago Lahore and Karachi from Birmingham. They were doing do well. All that's left is an odd flight to Islamabad.I dont call that progress at all

The issue of pax numbers with PIA was mis-leading as they were actually going with a severe weight restriction.

A310s are fine but 747s - no way.

The bluff was called with the 777s, it is unfortnate,but what BHX really requires is a runway extention and quick !

I remember way back when CP Air did a swap with PIA -- PIA's DC-10s for CP Air's 747-200s. Maintenance was less than flattering about the condition of the interior
