A friend of mine has just told me that AV8 have definitely gone bust and crew have now been told.
Can anyone confirm this?
That will be two UK airlines in the same week that have folded!
If it is true, then I'm very sorry to hear the sad news.

As far as I can gather, the 757 project has been cancelled as of 7th April, and all Ops, Crewing etc are also redundant as of that date. The 4th course of cabin crew who joined in Jan and were yet to fly have also been laid off. The 767 (operated by Icelandair) is to continue with the current operation under the AV8 name for the time being. The first 3 courses of crew operate this aircraft, and so are waiting to hear as to their continued employment, and are continuing to operate for now. Haven't heard anything about the 757 pilots who joined.
I wish everyone at AV8 all the very best - been there and it's an awful feeling!!! I hope everything turns out for you guys!!!! :ok:
