Just wondering if anyone knows what the reason was for a channel express plane to be surrounded by the crash n fire crews at dublin on tuesday night about 9pm?
Must have been about 10 fire tenders charge to the scene, but nothing obvious other than the starboard engine housing being removed and inspection of the engine.

Just curious, as i was there after doing my class 1 in dub and it entrtained the pax on my flight for a good 10 minutes!

I would hardly call an aircraft with firecrews attending 'entertaining'!
Would the PAX find it entertaining if it was their flight?

have no idea why they would Cee of Gee but that was the comment from quite a few passengers, that it was something they'd never seen before etc. Have to stress i didn't find it entertaining, just wondered what was up, hoping that it wasn't owt major.

nothin too major, from talking to the operating crew, the fire crews were called mainly as a precaution. A/C dep later.

Sorry if my original post sounded like a throat jump!
