Did I imagine it or have I read that the training courses are to change again in the not too distant future? I've looked through my various magasines but cannot find the article.
Anybody else help me out please

JAA changed to EASA but the exams are the still the same as under JAA as are the training courses which adhere to JAR FCL-1
Minor changes are reviewed are sent as NPAs (Notice of Proposed Amendments) to the JAA. Syllabus changes are occurring but are minor and are aimed to rationalise subjects. As one example less Instruments in GNAV. It all takes time but they are more steps in the correct direction - All in all - better syllabus and training

EASA has only taken over responsibility for airworthiness, it doesn't look like licensing will move until at least 2007. It's still JAA until then.

The only major change that's been talked about recently is the ICAO multi-pilot licence and that's not likely to happen for a number of years. Nor is it likely to affect the majority of wannabees.
