Does anyone have any news about the new branch of Virgin that they are starting in the USA. (Virgin USA?)
Last I heard they were deciding between IAD, BOS, LAX, and SFO as a Base and they were going to use 737-800's like Virgin Blue.

I would appreciate it if any Pilots for Virgin or anyone in the "know" would post some info in regards to Virgin USA.

Thanks and Fly Safe
Chuck

Been trying to follow this one myself but no one seems to have current, reliable info. I did see one statement on some internet news report that Virgin USA was talking to USAir. Where and when did you find the 737-800 info ?

The aircraft type will almost certainly be determined by the negotiations that Virgin Atlantic is holding now for new aircraft. That puts Airbus in pole position, I would suggest, as VAA are unlikely to wish to introduce yet another new type so quickly after the A340-600 and the A380.

I've seen no other new information in the public or company domains about the new airline.
