Lufthansa is considerably increasing capacity at MAN for the coming season on it's FRA and MUC routes.

FRA will operate

MUC will change from a LH Regional op to a mainline op

So thats another European Major that sees the potential on MAINLINE ops out of Manchester then joining KLM.
Stark contrast to a more local national carrier policies me thinks !
Anyways this is good news and valued extra capasity.
More long haul passenger journeys to avoid LHR then !

Even the odd LH A300 has appeared now & again.
Rumour is, due to business class demand, as more people become dischuffed with the E145 / BA462 "C" class product from the opposition.

Sounds like MAN is going to be a busy place this summer with all the added capacity and new flights. Can anyone recall all the new services being inagurated for the summer season, and all the ones that have been started over the last few weeks?

Here are some of the recent changes and extra flights
other than BA which have already been listed the other day

Wideroe to Bergen 6 days a week
Air Nostrum/Iberia to Madrid daily
V Bird to Neiderrhein day
BMI to Norwich Mo-Fr 1 daily
CSA upto 13 weekly from 10
THY upto I think daily
Alitalia 2 daily from July
American to Boston from May daily
SAS taking over some of Stockholm service with B737
LOT upgradinging to EMB170 in July
Air Southwest 3 daily Plymouth/Bristol on weekdays
PIA 2 Chicago 2 Toronto ex BHX flights
2 Houston to be confirmed
plus an extra 3 weekly Islamabad
Hapag Lloyd 4 weekly to Stuttgart
Qatar upgrading to bigger aircraft as is Emirates
BMI Baby many changes with extra flights and some downgraded
but I think a net increase
Plus I`m sure more
