Are the 747 Classics at FRA likely to be replaced by the new 400s? I have heard there are some very unhappy bunnies in Germany. Similarly, is there likely to be an expansion of the LHR freighter contingent?

There are no immediate plans to replace the glorious Classic flying the FRA routes. No immediate plans to increase 400Fs out of LHR/UK either. Next year will see more 400F flying on the North Pacific and on to Dallas I believe.

Can't imagine why people would be unhappy on the Classic. Happy fleet - top class leadership and aircraft in tip top condition with all the latest mods to enable RNP 1 :ok:

Those would be the same aircraft in'tip 'top' conditions with well over 40 ADDs and the required new equipment not yet fitted (and a suspicious lack of available hangar slots) for RNP 1, or do you have another fleet in mind......

Hello folks!

While we are on the subject, is there anyone knowledgable
on payrates and conditions for CX Cargo EU Basings?

Just curious as I have heard contraddicting reports as to
the conditions CX Cargo pilots around the world. We all
know there is no comparison with the pax fleet base in HK
where tax is only 15%, but what about the cargo situation?

Anyone kind enough to let us all know?

Cheers!
