Bill for in-flight medical services

I remember reading a news article some years ago about a doctor who attended to a medical emergency on a flight he was on and then proceeded to send the bill for these services to the airline in question (I believe BA, but I am not sure). Does anybody know what the outcome was?

I don't know if there was a thread on this on Pprune, but I can't find it if there was..
