I guess I should have stated this part more clearly. The tapping by using the touchpad worked fine until recently. Some pesky setting has re-set somewhere.

Still no fix found. This is annoying.

NOTE TO PROGRAMMERS: MAKE SURE YOUR SOFTWARE DOESN'T MAKE UNINTENDED CHANGES ELSWEHERE!!!! (to the sounds of laughter everywhere....wishful thinking, that is.)
