Dear PPRUNERS,

I have just read a report that Redhill Aerodrome has made an official application to the Department for Transport (DfT) to become a 'short/medium haul flight' airport serving 'low cost' airlines. This is an application for planning permission to construct a terminal building and new runways for commercial use. Does this mean that GA will become non-existant and the many thriving clubs will be chucked out??

As Sennadog was saying... (http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=75547)

In any case, I believe that the Redhill proposals were rejected in the White Paper published earlier this month.

Correct, Fly Stim - a reprieve until 2019, when LGW will be up for consideration again, I think...

Hoorah!
