This is probably one for the CAA, but I was wondering how the CAA go about verifying the hours in ones logbook. I am thinking about the 100rs or so P1 needed on top of the PPL before starting CPL course. Obviously, had i done them with a club or school it would be all official, but for the last 2 years I've been flying my own AC. Obviously I have the AC airframe, engine prop etc logs, but a cynic could accuse me of having made them up (unless they knew how much a 50hr check on a Yak cost).

Lets say I may have been a bit lax sometimes filling in the movements log at my airfield... (they kept hiding it!)

Anyone out there been challenged by the CAA about this? How did it get resolved?

I've never been challenged but I have taken the precaution of getting my logbook stamped and signed by my flying school at various stages.

Also I kept all the receipts so that if the day comes, I can use them to support my log book. I think that ATC keep a log of all movements too.
