With the onset of winter can anyone tell me what deicing solution their club is using for aircraft parked out overnight and where they get it? I used to teach at a club where they used it but it folded and my present club wants to utilise the same, otherswise we miss the first slot every day waiting for the frost to defrost!

Why mess around with deicing fluid.
Use black bin liners to cover tail and wings. A few minutes spent the evening before can save a couple of hours the next day.
Most of the time its only a thin layer of hoar frost or frozen rain, thats made a lot worse by incorrectly mixed deice fluid that refreezes in hinges, etc. it drips onto apron turning it into a skid pan.

I suppose that advice is OK for the full time instructor who can prepare his mount ready for that glorious Saturday morning, when all the part time instructors are faced with using credit cards to scrap the ice(paint) off the wings whilst the full timers drag their aircraft out of the hanger!
