Heard a little whisper recently that Lagos is going back to LGW?Anyone else know about this, if it is true at all?

A number of rumours are circulating at LHR that a couple of LH flights may be returning to LGW next year. In BA everthing is possible as there has been serious congestion at T4 this year and clearly something has to got to give.

Cant comment if LOS will return to LGW but can say that there is a large amount of "Oil traffic" between LOS and IAH and since BA moved the LOS service to LHR this traffic has had transit ORD with the direct service to IAH at LGW due to open skies!

Possibly why the Virgin to Port Harcourt goes out of LGW as well!!!!!

LOS traffic comprises a lot of oil traffic from IAH etc with a very high % of O&D traffic so going back to LGW would make sense but...what that result in having to use a 772?

Couldnt BA position the 747 from LHR like VS do with the Port Harcourt? Is the Lagos always full of Pax and Cargo?

All the BA 744's are based at LHR now.. It would make no sense in sending one a/c.. (but, you never know with BA)

ba might use a 772-probably more economical than a 744 on tis kind of route
