From the BBC:

"Fire and rescue teams have rescued a pilot after his light aircraft crashed in a field. Several crews from Hartley Witney and Basingstoke attended the site near the A33 in Heckfield, north of Fleet, Hampshire on Saturday(6/9) evening.

The pilot was released shortly after the crash at about 1930 BST and was rushed to hospital in Basingstoke. Fire crews remained at the scene to make the area safe. The condition of the pilot is not known."

TV pictures showed a very strange looking machine. It seemed to have more height than length. I trust the pilot is OK.

It was a microlight I believe.

I gather that it was a Thruster T600 sprint returning from France to a strip near Oxford, the aircraft suffered an engine failure, and didn't have a particularly successful forced landing. The pilot, who was flying solo, I believe is not badly hurt.

No more information I'm afraid.
