Ok! I never saw one flying http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/frown.gif but as I was surfing here and there I found a set of pics at the just planes site http://www.worldairroutes.com/GabonExpress_Crv7.html with the Gabon Express Caravelle. There on the comment of one of the photos was that the reverse was deployed before touchdown!
As I find it a little too much to cope with I would say it could be a guy writing fairly tales....but then again , I don't know much about the peculiarities of that beautifull piece of machine....
And when I was a kid (ok..12 years old..or so), I remember reading a magazine where a Caravelle pilot (a Brazilian btw) , who gave instruction to Royal Jordanian crews at some point in the Caravelle saying that he also quite often deployed the reverse before touchdown....
So I would really like to know from some ex-caravelle flyer if that was (is) possible or is just some "tale" from the cockpit? Doesn't the Caravelle have squat switches(?) to avoid the reverse being deployed before having the main wheels on the ground?
