Jet2 commenced flights to both Prague and Faro from Leeds Bradford today. Prague will be flown four times weekly (Mo,Th,Fr & Su) whilst Faro will operate twice weekly (Th & Su), both throughout the Winter.
Its fair to say that the airline is being cautious for the winter season with Nice & Bergamo non-op (until next Summer presumably) leaving AMS, AGP, ALC, BCN, PMI, PRG, FAO and GVA from December. Already the airline has announced an extra weekly rotation to Palma for the winter. The prospect of any domestic services is uncertain as is any expansion out of Prestwick.
Having had a successful Summer with widespread local praise regading punctuality, service and pricing, the coming winter will be a test of the operation - particularly their ability to land Cat III on 32 with the habitual 'tailwind component'.
