Can anyone recommend a UK based distance learning course, for the JAR performance exam, would be grateful for any leads.

As you are only wanting the Perf element, I would try Ground Training Services in Bournemouth.
They are very flexible and the instruction is second to none. They have a list of cheap digs close to the airport ie 15 quid per night.

GTS good for catering to the individual, it is also worth contacting EPTA. They sometimes are able to put individual packages together, depends how busy their are. Keith Williams is the POF and Perf instructor and he knows his subjects!

Try bristol ground school they got me through and that was quite an achievement.
