If I get my PPL in Florida at a JAA approved FTO like EFT or NAC, is that license valid in Sweden and/or any other parts of Europe?

Moben 6th Sep 2003, 06:36 Thanks. I know it seems like a stupid question, but there seems to be some different views on the validity of licenses obtained outside of Europe. I suppose I could've just asked Luftfartverket, but they always take forever to reply. tigerpic 15th Sep 2003, 06:26 no sweat! actually, concerning the swedish caa, there is one inspector who only prefers emails. fantastic! it took him only a few days to answer my application. the norwegian caa, on the other hand, used over a full year to complete some paperwork that i had. actually, i cannot wait until all the european countries are fully jaa-authorized members. it'll be swell! if they could only remove the 500-hour multi-crew requirement in keeping the atpl-exams from national to jar-fcl license, i would be a happier pilot. :E |
