Trying to find out if Jet Magic are still starting their service into LCY on the 15th September. Haven't seen any Embraers on proving/trg flights.

Hi,

AlanM, Jet Magic are still awaiting certification to operate the Embraer's to LCY.

Thanks for that - are they planning on using the 145....do they have any 135's?

Look forward to the trg flights on Sat mornings/Sun Afternoons!

LCY will be served by EMB-135s only. Even they will be payload restricted for departures.

Is there any more news out there about the arrival of the ERJ 135s? Getting very close now to the 15th September and the launch of CDG, LPL & EDI.

As I understand LCY start date is now 1st October but let us wait and see!

LCY is being offered from 15 Sept on their website, but with no confirmation on the clearance of the 135 they'll have to use another aircraft which has approval.

Wonder if it will be a Saab 2000?

Wonder if it will be a Saab 2000?

You may well be correct because I understand that JetMagic are to use a Saab 2000 on some flights into Liverpool from Cork.

The LCY website schedules are also showing 15 September, although I have seen no specific advertising for start of this service.

There's been an Embraer Legacy parked on the LCY GA apron for the last couple of days. Don't know how similar in spec this is to the 135 but it looks much the same.

Start of service may coincide with the introduction of the new hold area at the east end of the runway. LCY did a big firework display from there last Tuesday night after ops ended for the day to celebrate the completion of this (although none of us nearby residents had a clue what the fireworks were for!). Should increase the runway rate at peak times substantially. As the apron in front of the terminal often has all 10 stands occupied in the peak hours, wonder where they wll park them all.

They were going to wet lease a Saab 2000, but this deal was abandoned as the recruitment agency could not find enough LCY rated captains.

Last I heard is that they are going to lease a Do 328.

Surely JetMagic's friends at Swiss had enough spare LCY-rated Saab 2000 crew to see them through.

I concur with Saab Driver: I also heard that a Do328 is the choice.

Eh Hello?

Heard there was a 135 doing some trials at LCY yesterday (PT-SUC), apparently this is one of JM's planned aircraft.

Could this be the Legacy I described above? It was on the ramp yesterday early morning, gone by evening.

Both a/c, a Legacy and the 135 in JM colours were doing LCY trails on the 11th

Jet Magic WAS interested in the saab, but Swiss claims they need all their captains for the current production.

The massive downsizing at swiss will only take effect as of the winterschedule.

Looks like GX will start LCY with a hired in German Do-328. Good aeroplane with the right number of seats until the all clear is given for using the ERJ 135ER, PT-SUC/EI-ORK. Delighted that LCY is now starting on Sunday next rather than waiting until 1st October. A new route that will do great - cannot lose on ORK - London. :ok:

Let's hope that it won't be PropMagic for long and the 135 will soon be winging its way in and out of London City on scheduled service.

The first Jetmagic flight from London City Airport to Cork arrived last night and was flown by Cirrus Air Do-328, D-CIRB.

Meanwhile test flights continue at LCY with the new ERJ 135ER and all is well.

An Irish Spotters website is reporting that the Dornier operated a ORK-BHD flight this morning.
