| Air Lib Orly slots Fri 10 Jan 2003 Air Lib’s Paris slots escape low-costs’ grasp, for now Struggling French carrier Air Lib has given itself another month’s breathing space after presenting its latest rescue package to the French government. The FT reported that a number of low-cost carriers are keen to get their hands on the carrier’s slots at Paris Orly. The slots would become available if the airline ceased flying or withdrew form the airport. Air Lib is the name under which what is left of Air Liberte and AOM now operate. Air Liberte and AOM were part of Swissair before its collapse after Sept 11. IMCA, the Dutch group that is about to invest into Air Lib, is holding talks with Airbus to modernize Air Lib's fleet.
