Also the mainland Spanish are feeling that they can take more holidays now. Over the Easter two week break (large religious festivals and processions) most hotels on the CdeSol are reporting excellent business and the height of the summer (July-August) is also looking very, very busy. Time then for us 'locals' to escape from the 'trippers'!

Off-topic very quickly - I'm sure likes of Hoeseasons or Centerparcs are experiencing uptick in booking demand as families decide to switch tactics from excessive sun holiday accommodation price hikes.
Sorry, back on topic now. As you were!

I think you are right mike, terrific increase down here in motor homes etc. from all parts of Europe over the last couple of years, but Malaga Airport is showing record growth.
Is there a way to determine at the time of booking a flight from SEN as to whether it'll be operated by Stobart or Jota ?
I've tried dummy bookings for every day of the week in July for SEN-CGN but they all appear as operated by Stobart with an E175. I know that Stobart do not have any E175s in their own name; but Jota do not have any E175s either, so aircraft type is maybe not a reliable indicator of operating airline.

I've received notification from Flybe that my LYS-SEN flight in mid-May will be operated by Jota. I've also received confirmation that my outbound flight a week earlier will be operated by Flybe, as will my SEN-VIE-SEN flights in June.
It seems to me that Jota will provide one aircraft for the first few months with Flybe providing either an EMB175 or 195 as the second aircraft needed to operate the schedules for the 11 routes. Presumably both these aircraft will be replaced by the EMB195s that Stobart say they will be adding to their AOC.

I've been informed my Flybe flight to CGN operated by Stobart will now be operated by Flybe on behalf of Stobart (looks like E175 88Y).
Disappointed as I was really only making the trip as it was meant to be the first STK jet operated flight.
Fair play to STK really, they've taken a big and bold move at exactly the right time. I hope it works. In a certain sense it's a make or break point for SEN. If STK hash this up it will become even more difficult to attract customers. Get it right and who knows, Cityjet maybe in with a much bigger offer (which could be a reason for a delay in adding their own metal)
It was a tall order to add a new a/c type to the fleet and all that goes with it in such a short time frame.
It's good to see STK acknowledge in good time that they won't be ready for the kick off.....for all we've known for a while. I hope that the potential additional charges for wets doesn't dent the start up ops.
Was half expecting to be chugging to CGN on EI-EHH, or to see REI/REH out of retirement, still there's time yet!

I really don't see Thomson's decision as a vote of no confidence for LSA. They increased from 1x weekly to 2x weekly for this summer. It's fairly clear from the information provided by FRatSTN that they are the one with issues.
Eddie Stobart Logistics AIM Flotation
Stobart Group will realise a tidy sum from the flotation of Eddie Stobart on the London Stock Exchange AIM, which is expected to occur on 25 April 2017.
Their 49% stake in the company has a current book value of £54.7m and at the issue price of 160p they will receive £113.1m in cash and a retained shareholding of £71.5m (representing a 12.5% share of Eddie Stobart's share capital on admission to AIM). Stobart Group say that part of the cash proceeds will be used to "... increase the scope for adding value to the Group's other businesses through selective investment." The Stobart Group board will consider the best use of the cash proceeds and will provide an update in the Group's annual results announcement on 11 May 2107.

Forgive me if I'm being a bit cynical, but all the restructing going on around the Stobart companies in the last few months seems a bit like smoke and mirrors, with very little substance around strategy of the underlying businesses
