There seems to be an opinion that Norwegian will be basing aircraft at BHX as of S16.

I wondered if LNIDA, or anyone else for that matter, had any info on how many aircraft they may base and how many possible new destinations are planned? I've heard some of the usual Med routes mentioned but it would be nice to see OSL and/or ARN.

Many thanks in advance

D8

E-mail through today from Norwegian to say that their flight code is changing from DY to D8 and that if I've booked advance seats for my flight I may need to rebook them

Stuart Buss leaves Gatwick to lead UK press office for budget airline Norwegian | PR Week

ex Gatwick and ex easyjet staff taken on for a UK press office.

Seems early September announcements might be interesting in respect of UK expansion.

LN400 is the first 789 and will be built in Everett. Per all things 787 website still showing an American registration to start with and coming through MG Aviation Limited. Not too far away as Line number 350 has been built and 331 delivered, looking on track for around February time.

Have Norwegian released all there LGW routes for July next year. It's just I notice that flights from LGW to CTA, NCE, PUY, SPU & WAW are not available to book for S16. Have these routes been dropped?

Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA on Thursday reported a sharply higher third-quarter profit due to fuller planes, higher ticket revenue and cheaper fuel.

And at the same time Norwegian orders 19 more B789s (+ 10 options) from Boeing. Deliveres will be from 2017 - 2019.

Boeing, Norwegian Finalize Order for 19 787-9 Dreamliners - Oct 22, 2015

I guess the delivery slots will come from cancelled orders from Aeroflot this summer + "secret customer" (suspected to be EY/AB) order at the same time.

Newsdesk - Norwegian

All done and dusted.

G-NHRY ex EI-FHI I believe is the first aircraft on the UK Register for Norwegian. Last flew 26/10 and registered in the UK per G-INFO on 12/11.

May I ask how many 737 are being transferred to the Irish AOC? They seem to be doing one like every week or something at the moment.

One of their aircraft LN-DYA caused chaos in TFS today by shedding two tyres on the runway.

Looks like all are available to book now for S16 except Catania, which looks like it must have been dropped.
