I wonder if the BA Board of Directors realise that:
  1. A customer has entered passport data when reminded after booking and recieved an email to confirm that.
  2. A customer checks in online for that flight and is told to enter passport data ...
  3. Customer feels (shall we say) 'mildy irritated' and considers that the Directors do not know what is happening in their own brewery.

I would think that the BA Directors have more to think about than an annoyance that might be an IT glitch, or something there may be a reason for. Have you asked their PR department for an explanation if it is irritating?

British Airways starting 01JUL16 is increasing capacity on London Heathrow – Nassau – Grand Cayman route, as the airline plans to operate 3-class Boeing 777-200ER aircraft, instead of 767-300ER.

The airline operates this route 4 times a week.

BA253 LHR1030 – 1450NAS1605 – 1640GCM 777 57
BA253 LHR1035 – 1450NAS1605 – 1640GCM 777 1
BA253 LHR1045 – 1505NAS1605 – 1640GCM 777 3

BA252 GCM1830 – 2100NAS2225 – 1200+1LHR 777 57
BA252 GCM1830 – 2100NAS2230 – 1205+1LHR 777 13

Given this aircraft change, wouldn't it make more sense to transfer these routes to LGW to free up valuable slots at LHR?

The LHR-NAS route always used to carry large numbers of connecting passengers from Germany, Switzerland, Scandinavia and the like. Since BA no longer serves those markets from LGW this feed would be lost if NAS moved to LGW.

Apart from that BA has recently announced new or reinstated routes from LHR for next year, to Inverness, Billund, Kalamata, Chania, Mahon, Bari amongst others. This indicates BA is not particularly short of slots at the moment. It could also of course be Willie Walsh reinforcing his point that he doesn't want a bar of (paying for) Runway 3

Is BA not flying the 787 to Toronto anymore? Just 2x daily 777s instead?

Was looking at flights in September 2016

YYZ have been reduced from 16 x weekly to 2 x daily for S16. With a 4 class 777 operating both daily flights

Currently, the BA093 is a B788 on two days 2 pw (Fridays and Saturdays), with the B772 operating the other 5 days, and the BA095 is a daily B788 (occasionally a B789).

The BA095 goes to Montreal and not Toronto.
The second Toronto departure is BA099

Oops, you're right of course.

The BA099 appears to operate a similar pattern, 2 x 787 and 5 x 777 per week at present.

No such thing as a stupid question, ....BUT

For what reason does the BA A318 from JFK to London City always seem to divert to Gatwick when there are weather issues at City??

Possible reasons are

No available slots at Heathrow?
Better connection from Gatwick to the City?
Southend not seen as posh enough for the executives?

Not that I am likely to be rich enough to use the service

Regards

It's also safe to assume that Heathrow, which is full on a good day, will have similar weather to LCY therefore experiencing its own problems.

Come 2016 and the Maintenance for the two A318s is all to be carried out at Marshalls at Cambridge.

Still over Christmas paking at LGW though. Slot constraints means LGW is the alternative for LCY instead of LHR

Anyone know how the first scheduled LGW-GLA-SLZ did numberswise? Presume would be pretty empty for return. Would be nice if did well as a niche. I think I heard there was a decent Tour booking associated with it.
