Question Emirates New Route?

Heard a rumour that Emirates are starting a direct Manchester to Perth service.

Can anyone confirm, A/C type etc.

I'll bet that's news to Emirates!!

Emirates are planning long-haul routes from Dubai to Australasia, but direct services from Ringway are another kettle of fish altogether.

Emirates New Route

They have been advertising Perth from Birmingham, both BHX & MAN are the existing flights via DXB.

Curiousity question: is there any particular reason Emirates depart BHX at such a time that they arrive in DXB at 00:30?Seems to be a weird time to be arriving anywhere, neither early enough to get a full nights rest or late enough go staight to the office. Is there an operational reason behind this or is it merely the mysterious whim of the schedulers? I only ask because I seem to spend increasing amounts of my time sitting on a stand in the BHX cul-de-sac waiting for the 330 to push back, pull forward (slowly), start engines slowly and taxy away slowly. Still, its a superb machine to look at.
