Glasgow & Edinburgh fuel problems

NOTAMS saying no fuel etc. due delivery problems. Anyone know more, like how long it's likely to last?

Not just Glasgow and Edinburgh. Problem also subject of NOTAMs at Prestwick and Aberdeen. All blame supply problems at Grangemouth Refinery with NOTAMs due to expire at 2359 on 16-10-12.

Flew out of Edinburgh this evening, the pilot informed us the airport is down to its last few tonnes of fuel.. Planes arriving at Edinburgh are landing with enough fuel for their next sector so they wont have to re fuel in Edinburgh

All very well and good as long as the bird can make it back to wherever with the fuel they are able to carry !

Otherwise a tech stop will be needed

This same thing happened a few weeks ago in GLA EDI ABZ INV DND, something happened with the fuel, (can't say) but aircraft were tanking round trip fuel for domestic journeys at least. Say the aircraft was operating
GLA - MAN - GLA - JER - GLA the aircraft was tanking in Manchester to get them to Glasgow and to jersey then tanking again in jersey together them to Glasgow and their next destination.

The fuel problem is because of refinery contamination.
