Thomas Cook Canada Cancels Agreement with Jazz Air

Announced today that Thomas Cook Canada (Sunquest Vacations) is to terminate its contract with Jazz Air (Canada) to operate 6 x B757 (Damp leased from Thomas Cook Airlines UK) at the end of the current Winter 11-12 flying programme on 30Apr2012.

Jazz Air was operating the B757s on behalf of Sunquest Vacations following the collapse of Skyservice airlines in Feb2010. As an interim measure for the S10 season Sunquest used CanJet, WestJet and EnerJet with Jazz taking up the reigns in November 2010.

A 5 year deal was signed but the contract is being terminated early, and Thomas Cook will compensate Jazz for the early termination.
The reason for the contract termination was 'Market Forces' according to Thomas Cook, and nothing whatsoever to do with Jazz's performance.
