G-LNKS doing the Links Air Belfast run today. So that leaves 'JIBO to operate for CityWing.

Lada Air L410s UBA, RDA and TCA operating as usual on the CityWing schedule.

Will be interesting to see what they lease-in to sub for LNKS. I assume it's Links' responsibility per contract to supply two aircraft?

EI possible expansion, from NI Travelnews

Aer Lingus to Boost Services from City Airport

Aer Lingus has revealed to Northern Ireland Travel News that it could soon increase its flights out of Belfast City Airport.

The airline, which moved from Belfast International Airport two years ago, recently moved its Belfast-Heathrow service to the new Queen's Terminal (Terminal 2) at Heathrow, cutting connecting times to just an hour.

Aer Lingus' new Chief Revenue Officer Mike Rutter confirmed that there would be service enhancements on a number of fronts. The airline is looking at beginning services to Manchester/Birmingham; there could be an extra daily flight to Gatwick, a possible fourth daily rotation from Belfast City to Heathrow; while the airline is also looking at further direct services to Europe.

Said Mike Rutter: "We have been delighted with our performance at Belfast City Airport. We are looking at another rotation to Gatwick first of all, and Heathrow too could soon possibly benefit from an extra flight in the day. As regards new services, we are looking at introducing routes like Birmingham or Manchester, while new destinations in Europe are always under consideration."

Deploying the same strategy on BHX and MAN as they did on LGW might work but it could be costly. Airbus a little big.

All that said they may look strategically in terms if the two new routes and wage a war. 319 for peak morning and evening rotations supplemented by Stobart 72 in mid day rotation(s). I'd guess ...

BHD certainly looks like big picture / long term in relation to domestic flying ...
Good news here for BHD ...

I struggle to see what a code share with BE on BHD to MAN or BHX would bring to the table. In addition, hard to see how that would be worthy of a mention ...

Personally I think if EI do start man and Bhx, ezy won't want to get into a fare war and will drop it, leaving no threat for flybe

When is the last time ezy retreated opposite BE and EI, I think that will make it all the more interesting for them . Clearly EI will be focused on the niche that BHD presents, something different to BFS on domestics and focused on BE's space.

That stats for these routes exactly like Gatwick was, a BE route with 20something thousand pax per month. Only diff is that prop more credible machine for these routes distance wise, and frequency much higher ...

Flying Gatwick/ Belfast City this morning, the head flight attendant commented that 3 new routes had been announced for start in Summer 2015; he also said this had been on the news yesterday; I was abroad and didn't see/ hear local news. The suggested routes are Belfast City to Frankfurt, Munich and Alicante.

He also suggested that the Heathrow route would switch to 320 and the 319 returned to Dublin ???

Anybody know anything about this ? Was surprised not to hear it on here quite quickly. Nothing in the booking engine yet ... Clearly .

On the face of it, good results from BHD. But one cannot look at the BCA accounts in isolation as they are the only asset of their holding company, ANKA. The debt held by ANKA is up by almost £5m from £101M to over £105M for 2013.
