No shock about Air Lingus..far more suited to SOU. MARKEYD..as you seem to have the most knowledge of BOH and although could find out myself..are FR just replicating summer 2014 for 2015 or are there any changes?

The airport had a good August though, over 96,000 passengers - which is 2.5% above Aug last year.

Strong growth on Palma and other sunshine routes. Over 17,000 passengers on Palma alone.

Ryanair have indeed started to load there summer schedules for 2015 with the based aircraft returning at the end of March

It's hard to say what's what at the moment as about 7 destinations are missing and gaps in the based aircrafts flying programme still

Hopefully it will be a similar schedule to this year , not sure about Gerona though as nothing loaded for any airports yet , BOH did very well with this year on this route with 6 flts a week

Also with Flybe not operating the Med type routes out of SOU next summer it remains to be seen if Ryanair pick up on this or just consolidate , and BOH has another dull summer

Ryanair looks to have loaded there schedule from Bournemouth with 1 based aircraft operating these routes

Monday BOH - ALC - BOH - GRO - BOH - MJV - BOH

Tuesday BOH - TFS - BOH - MJV - BOH

Wednesday BOH - ALC - BOH - GRO - BOH - MJV - BOH

Thursday BOH - MLA - BOH - MJV - BOH

Friday BOH - ALC - BOH - GRO - BOH - MJV - BOH

Saturday BOH - LPA - BOH - GRO - BOH

Sunday BOH - ALC - BOH - MLA - BOH

There are daily flights from Palma into BOH using a Palma based a/c and flights to Faro and Malaga again using local based a/c
Surprisingly Pisa has been withdrawn off the schedule and Rhodes , Chania , Carcassone , Ibiza , Lanzarote and Fueteventura are all still not showing as bookable

Fingers crossed they do come back as otherwise this would make it a very bad summer 2015 from Bournemouth as Endifia and Dublin cancelled and only 3 Newmarket flights are operating next year

Would be a dreadful summer 2015 if that was all the flights FR offer.

Summer 2015

How about a second based aircraft in Bournemouth for summer 2015 ?
Can't see all those flights being dropped especially after they survived the massed culling of flights in the last twelve months.
My money is on all the flights from last year coming back with some new additions operated by a second based aircraft.
Hopefully this may mean the base will also stay open for next winter.
Watch this space.

With BE axing SOU and EXT sun routes, will FR see an opportunity to expand its flying program to compensate ex BOH?

FYI, It's not yet been confirmed if the sun routes have been axed by Flybe from Southampton. Their summer schedule will be out at the end of October or start of November.

Those particular flights were operated from out stations last year , however the schedule at the moment for 2015 is from Bournemouth with the based aircraft operating these routes

Hopefully as discussed the missing routes will re appear soon as not all the schedule has been loaded , it could well be that a 2 nd aircraft is on the cards for BOH ! fingers crossed

Second aircraft

Markeyd you are quite right.
MLA, TFS & LPA were not operated by the BOH based aircraft this season. The flights released so far for 2015 have one airframe fully occupied.
However unless we are dropping CCF, IBZ, FUE, ACE, RHO & CHQ which seems highly unlikley, it will mean another airframe will be based in BOH for summer 2015.
Hopefully an announcement soon with another based aircraft, all the above routes and probably some others as well ! And while we're at it how about at least one based aircraft for winter 2015/16.
Fingers crossed.

Summer 2015

Looks like Ryanair are operating a daily rotation to PMI next summer using a PMI based aircraft.

looking up at the above posts of next year's Ryanair destinations, aren't these the same as this year?
I can't therefore see an increase in rotations requiring an extra based aircraft. Many of the routes can be provided using the foreign based aircraft such as PMI.
Also is there a 'critical point' to base an extra aircraft at an airport like Bournemouth if there's enough routes/ rotations.

A lot of the flights next summer from Bournemouth to destinations like Malta , Las Palmas and Alicante were operated from the outstations last year , which freed up the BOH based a/c to operate to Rhodes , Carcassone , Chania , Ibiza etc which don't have a Ryanair base

There is still a lot of flights still not published including the above mentioned and it would be hard to imagine these not operating but with Pisa for instance off the destination list completety I am wondering if indeed this is it for next summer , obviously it's a tough year for a lot of UK regional airports and Bournemouth is no exception

Bournemouth handled 82 , 248 passengers in September down 2% on last year due almost entirely to the ending of the Dublin route which finished early Sept and also 2 less Newmarket charters to Verona using Small Planet

Otherwise high loads on all routes with Thomson and Ryanair , but still no news from Ryanair regarding the 7 missing routes mentioned in the above posts as still not bookable ?

2 day trips to Kraków and the Rhine using BA Cityflyer over the weekend of 26/27 Oct and the 2 charters to Antalya with Oska travel are now using Onur Air aircraft instead of Corrondean

Aer Lingus have told me on Twitter that they have no plans to operate the BOH->DUB again. Shame.

That's old news.

What we need is confirmation of a return to Ryanair expansion.

Ryanair have removed the following routes from the Bournemouth booking engine

Carcassone
Rhodes
Chania
Pisa
Lanzarote
Fueteventura
Ibiza

Not looking good for next summer at all now , very strange considering extra flights operated this year to Pisa and Lanzarote and also goog loads on all of the above routes

Also Newmarket holidays only have 3 departures next year as opposed to 12 this year and Thomson have cancelled the Endifia programme

Very disapointing news as we go into winter mode ……

Strange...the rumours I heard from good sources there, was that FR were keeping all 2014 routes and that there was going to be routes announced by another airline as well...which I won't mention yet....
