JET 2 All routes for next summer so far have an unchanged frequency except for DLM which reduces to 2 from 3 this summer.

Other options could be Kefalonia or Faro?

As things stand, all flights that are operated on Thursdays this year (2014) apart from Palma are due to operate on Thursdays next Summer too. It could be that a flight is W legged from another airport.

Kefalonia and faro are still shown on thursdays

Thursdays is shown as
Malaga
Lanzarote
Faro
Dubrovnik
Kefalonia
Dalaman
Bodrum
Agadir

However they don't show times are airline just days of operation

I'm going to guess that TCX will add Hurghada for 2015

Very nice to see Morocco finally, I always thought LS might give Marrakech a go and let NCL have a look in but Agadir will do nicely.

Very sad/angry/disappointed/heartbroken that LS will be removing the 757 from Newcastle, I was looking forward to us getting the 738's but now I don't give a s***, not at the expense of the 757, I really can't see the logic.

Have TOM/TCX confirmed theirs? Any chance of another aircraft because there has been a massive drop in pax numbers, 235-189 with TOM, 235-210(ish) with TCX and now 235-189 with Jet2 and the only increase being 1 733 and 1 738. I'm pretty confident that the 757 will come back for 2016, I just can't see NCL an airport without them yet.

Maybe TCX will base a Condor 753 for 2015 to combat the haemorrhage of seats recently.

EK -Jet2 have turned their back on Newcastle for Manchester and Leeds, hence why the 752 is going, we will not be getting 1 733 and 1 738, from my understanding it is 1x733 ans 2x738. I for one will not be touching Jet2 after the 752 leaves Newcastle unless its necessary as Thomson and maybe Thomas Cook with the new A321s will likely offer a better package than Jet2.

Gloomy times for the charter market at Newcastle, but once they leave they will likely not be coming back, and as for the Condor 753 we could only dream of that.

Some of them are over twenty six years old, which even in Jet2 terms is knocking on a bit. The B738 is perfectly adequate for 95% of the missions that the B757 flew, that's why Boeing has sold 4,500 NGs alone and the B757 line closed at just over 1,000 of all models. The Thomson B757s are also being replaced by new B738s as well.

Yeah, with regards to the 753 though, they could be onto a winner with it if they tried, just put it on all the trunk routes, 2 A321, 1 753 instead of A320 and swap the routes around a bit.

Edit: Regardng 737NG vs 757, its all relative, when you say of all models, there were only 2, ans the second one came along quite late, the 737 had 4 (Technically 6) which went from low end 120 seats to high end 200 seats, the 757 was all high end 200+ seats for the most part. Then there's the fact that many NG orders will have been to replace classics and that the 757 was more expensive. But still I see what you mean, 3500 more is a lot more planes. I think the 757 could have made 2000 if they'd kept it on until now, there's a lot of them needing replacing (effectively)

Not really as they closed the line as everyone who wanted a new one already had one. Also B757-300s didn't exactly sell well either, it's a pretty niche aeroplane. The bottom line is the B737 proved to be more mission adaptive and longer lived, spanning three generational ranges to the B757s one. Now that's not a criticism, I have happy memories of flying on many BA shuttle services, and of course the high end missions are beyond the B737. However it's nowhere near big enough gap in the market for a bespoke replacement and the B757 design is 33 years old now. 15 is way too young to be mourning the passing of aircraft, try realising that you saw Victorville bound BA 763s when they were brand new.

I have flew on TCX 757s for years down to the fact NCL was littered with 757s its not that NCL dont have the PAX but more to the fact the no UK base eventually will have a 757 in the not to distant future.

Im looking forward to flying on TCX new Sharklet A321s this year

Smaller aircraft = Better Yields for the airline and more chance of new destinations being announced. Airlines do have to try and make money at the end of the day.

Charlie98, if LS were turning their back on NCL, surely they would be pulling out completely? Considering they're actually adding an a/c to the base would suggest they're very much committed to NCL.

Besides, the LS 738s are quite comfortable anyway

Well said grahamk

Jet2 replacing 2 aircraft with 3 aircraft is better.
Yes the 757 is a nice aircraft but they are getting old and they will be replaced by 738 if we like it our not!!

Smaller aircraft and more flights is better for ncl and the airlines.

I think we need to be more worried about EASYJET at ncl rather than jet2.
FNC and FUE start earlier next year with jet2 so that show they are very happy with things at ncl

Jet2 757's
We will be seeing these again at NCL they won't be gone completly.
NEW YRK charters will carry on in the winter.
Also rumours on the jet2 tread of a much bigger annoucment later on in the year regarding these 757's. My guess is long haul or even that long awaited link we are all looking for!

Anything on TCX yet?

Is this a NCL forum, or a 737 vs 757 Forum?
