And they say there is 'no such thing as negative advertising'.....

What a complete T*T.

I hope crew who work for him are incensed and leave on mass. This man is out of control - he needs knocking down a peg or two, MD or not, he talks about others (his employees) with such disregard and disrespect he doesn't deserve to be in a job, let alone run an airline!

MO'L, you should try channeling some of your frustrations (sexual) into more productive means such as hedging your fuel. Shareholders will be wincing as fuel prices go up, profits fall, and the indignity of having to watch their 'man at the helm' talk on TV about how his staff will perform sexual acts for their customers.

MOL

It just shows that there is a distinct lack of
humour in the contributors so far to this thread.

MOL is an idiot indeed but what does that make you?

Who said 'there is no such thing as bad publicity?

The people who dislike this person should perhaps
turn the spotlight on themselves and question why
they feel the need to ridicule/spout off/argue the toss
- if they dont like him ,WOW, BIG DEAL - move on!

Ex staff members are probably just bitter and twisted
individuals. Not good enough to make the 'Ryanair' grade
and so got the push!
I know rejection is hard for some to take but you'll get
over your psychosis eventually?

'Tis a pity this guy MOL runs the most successful low-
cost airline in Europe because if he had gone the way
of Silverjet/Maxjet etc then you would all have a clear
run at mouthing off.
The worms amongst you are probably praying for the
day to arrive - thats just how SAD you are!!

I have no connection to Ryanair other than to travel
infrequently with them.I am ambivilant to the MOL
man but get bored by peoples' vitriol towards him.

Take a chill pill!!

I wonder how many people that knock Michael so much have actually met him, I don't mean just to shake hands or on a specific issue but actually spent time in his company socially as well as in in a business situation.

For me he ranks among the greatest airline bosses of all time.

Not always popular and ,no. not always right but the man that never made a mistake never made anything. We all have a right to our views and many will disagree with mine but I will speak as I find and to me he will always be one of the best whose company ( I don't mean Ryanair) I have enjoyed immensely.

MM,

Like you, I felt compelled to reply to what I find offensive behaviour. I can have a laugh and joke with the best of them, but to humiliate and degrade your own workforce is just plane old WRONG, and NOT FUNNY!

I have nothing to do with Ryanair, never have (ie I've never applied to work for them, or thought of working for them), never will, I have no aspirations to fly for them, let alone perform sexual acts on customers, so before you spout off again, my reply to this post was just out of pure shock, not my distane for MOL. I up-hold the right to reply!!!

Any boss of mine who described his workforce as sex workers would seriously have me looking for a new job - and a flea in his/her ear if I met them. No matter how contreversial MOL is, the way he conducted himself in the interview was incredible, for those who haven't seen it, look for yourselves, and then ask yourself "Do I want to work for this Man?".....

This guy is wasting his time in aviation!

Satchi and Satchi should be employing this man! True advertising genius!

This post for example - would you have posted it if he had not made those sexual remarks? Most likely not.

He tries to get into the press in anyway possible.

For example, when the Ryanair was fined for remarks about the Italian PM (I think) - did he care? He had got millions if not billions worth of free advertisement! For 55,000 euros or whatever it was!

Bit of a sick - but true advertising genius - and I don't mind he air fares either!

Thumbs down MOL press conference in Germany

Well MOL's looking a bit nervous at the press conference, is it a sign that FR is really experiencing tuff time? Now regarding Mr O'Leary performance in the German media I would have to him: "go and get yourself a b*** job on one of your flight this might put your brains back in to gear! You have to much pressure on your it at the moment" !!!!!

MOL is a very clever business man, he's done yet again something very small that has attracted huge attention to his airline, and too right. Why waste money on huge ad campaigns when FR can come up with this sort of stuff, gets everyone talking about it and everyone familar with the brand name - RYANAIR. Genious in the low cost sector.

Honestly, some people need to lighten up a little. It was a tongue in cheek comment, and if this offends some, I would advise them not to turn on a TV in hurry O_O

Not often you find a CEO who will be quite as candid about things, or who isn't so far up his own behind that he can make jokes like this.

I am sorry, but that VT is not in the least funny. Very disrespectful to his employees generally and to female employees in particular. Those who think it is funny must remember this mans position within the organisation. Very poor show.

WITW.

Priceless. Didn't think MOL looked worried just bored with probably some inane press questioning hence the comments. Don't see how it is disrespectful to staff as there is absolutely no mention of actual FR staff providing the said 'services'. People do need to lighten up.

Those staff to whom he is being 'disrespectful'...

Just for the record, would that include the girls in the Ryanair calendar? They look as though they might be easily shocked at such a phrase.

Seems to me, speaking crew, that when they made that calendar they tore up their rights to expect any kind of respect as Cabin Crew, apart from the more masturbatory kind: In the process, they made life that bit more difficult for those crew that take their careers a bit more seriously. If MOL wants to make sexist jokes, I say, bring it it on. If the precious angels don't like it, then they may consider their actions more carefully in the future.

As for MOL - I doubt he'll lose sleep over our reactions on PPRuNe - whatever he does horrifies some of us on PPRuNe, and inevitably proves irrelevant. Heads FR win, and tails we lose - simple really!

That last post is very sad, I think you need to look closely at what you said and the implications.
