No Q400's going to Athens Airways. They bought some of the 145's but nothing to do with this. Able to see this on Jethro/CAA etc.

Still early days as not officially announced Im sure all details will be disclosed when it is. Or we will see it on our rosters just hope im allowed out of Jersey!

Apologies chaps didn't realise info was confidential as released to crew and freeley discussed. Have removed info that has not been previously posted in hindsight perhaps something for the private thread.

Don't want to be losing my job especially at this time!! time for a little bridge buliding if any managers reading apologies once again.

The revamp is pretty insane at the mo, MIG really want to hide Aegean Airways. MIG are using public competitions for the logo and the new clothing!

MIG definatly have the $$$ to back it all so i hope they make Olympic proud!

Olympic Airlines orders 16 Bombardier Q400s

MONTREAL * Good news for Bombardier Inc.'s Q400 turboprop order book. Greece's Olympic Airlines Friday announced a $224 million U.S. order for eight aircraft and took options on eight more.
The newly privatized Olympic is renewing all its fleet. The Q400s will be operated by Pantheon Airways, Olympic's newly-acquired regional unit.
The Q400 is assembled in Toronto and its Pratt & Whitney engines are made in Montreal.

Olympic Air (OA) is the successor of Olympic Airways. Start: 1st Oct.
The fleet consists of A320/A319 (lease) and Q400 (order).
No long haul flights to JFK, YUL-YYZ and JNB from 1st Oct. A340 go back to the Greek government.
I've read around 65% of the current routes will continue.

Olympic

Hopefully this is the correct place to post this and hopefully this is news to somebody! Copied and pasted from an email I received::

"a sad moment for many, as Olympic Airlines ceased operations today. A new private Olympic Air is taking over 65% of Olympic Airlines routes.
The last ever passenger flight of Olympic Airlines was performed today. It was flight OA424 from Toronto to Athens, operated by Airbus A340 SX-DFB. The crew performed a farewell low pass over Athens Airport before returning to land.
For those who whould like to see some photos of the low pass and some further info, check this:
http://athensairport.*************/2009/09/olympic-airlines-a340-last-...
Farewell to Olympic Airlines, safe flights to Olympic Air!"

Sorry to waste everybodies time. Seems like this is "old" info.

Great advert. Shame that there are no A340's in the advert. Hopefully there'll be a new advert to advertise the restart of N American and Oz services. Or am I deluded???

The Reciever / Administrator for the old Olympic Airlines was appointed on Thursday last week who presumably will dispose of the defunct assets and aircraft that wont be operated by new Olympic.

Does anyone have the contact details or identity of this Administrator?
