Wow, that's a strange course for a go-round. I wonder what happened to cause that? Was the runway occupied by someone else?

If there was an aircraft on the runway the easyjet would have flown a runway heading missed approach. Nothing took off until the next aircraft landed. Helicopter in the wrong place??? Must have been a few passengers needing an underwear change with such a tight turn so close to the ground. The aircraft which was already over the lights was 90 degrees to the runway in less than half its length.

Wonder if there is a Jewish holiday this week as El-Al seems to have some strange arrival times. Today’s flight arrived at 04:15 this morning and leaves at 06:10. Thursday’s flight by a Boeing 777 arrives at 03:25 and departs at 05:15 with another Thursday flight arriving at 22:00

LTNman - there is - starts tonights, ends Wed evening. All movements at Tel Aviv, including Easyjet and many other commercial passenger airlines likely to come to a complete halt for about 30 hours. There will also be a short spike in demand (ie you may see larger aircraft than usual) to/from Tel Aviv in the few days beginning Thursday.

Standard Missed

Runway heading, agreed, but in last 10 years I have done 2 GA due to aircraft on runway cleared for take off, but not responded, and thus MIGHT just take off....... climb into my MA path.so we were given Immediate Right turn, and over Wigmore...

I lived in Wigmore, and had to buy a beer for my neighbours when got home.

In days of old you could have taken 36/18 as a few Cabair and Expressflights used to!!! perhaps not as it was grass!

Not sure whether this has been mentioned here before, but Wizz are starting LTN-Ljubljana on 30th October 3x weekly (Tu Th Sa). Have they flown this route before?

Together with other new routes to Lublin, Skopje and Debrecen, this brings to 24 the number of destinations Wizz serve from Luton.

Checking this info, I note the new Wizz website, which is much cleaner-looking than its predecessor.

I think they did a couple of years ago and it did not last long. Also, Adria do not seem to have the route available for S13. Looks like they finish the route at the end of Oct when Wizz commence services.

Time to start LUTON - 7. This thread is now too big and less manageable. As usual its pages can still be reviewed as and when.
