one get any pics of the ATR72 in LCY this morning?

The ATR72 trials would appear to be being conducted by the manufacturer themselves. Kingfisher, an Indian carrier, have several new aircraft they have some finance issue with, and have not taken delivery of them from ATR, they have been hanging round Toulouse for quite some time.

BBC website saying LCY had to close for a short while today and flights were diverted to LHR and LTN?
How come flights can land with 15 minutes notice at LHR but for an airline who wants to fly there in 6, 12, 18 months time, they can't get anything?!

Seems that the snow clearing has made no impact as there have only been a few moderate falls all day and the airport has cancelled everything since early doors?
Not flying today but having been past the airport, it's hardly Alaska and there are a LOT of angry customers today.
What is the reason given that the business was unable to cope with a moderate snowfall?

Staying in house close to airport today, have to say that snow has been absolutely nonstop since first light - and still is as I write.
I suspect visibility as well but the ATIS seems to have been taken off the air by 1630.
I presume snow dispersal is straightforward - over into the dock !

There were snow ploughs going up and down the runway late morning / early afternoon, no idea how successful they were, but it was pretty deep in the car parks.
Not sure what it's due to do overnight ie how it'll be tomorrow - half an hour to the East it hasn't stopped snowing and is just getting deeper.....

A lot of aircraft were sat around from the day before minus any crew and couldn't be moved therefore taking up stands. Once aircraft were ready to go, they all wanted deicing at the same time of course.
There were delays of 3+ hours.

OpsSix :
Being aware of the quantity of snow that fell in the area, that picture of the ramp by gate 7 looks like it has not been touched since the snowfall started. How can this have been allowed to happen ? Among other things this is the principal route between the fire station and all the stands. Where is the airfield snowfall contingency plan, and what does it say about snowclearing in this area ?

A lot of flights due to depart during the next three hours have already been cancelled and nine were diverted, so "minor" seems to be a bit more major than they make us believe.
