To & fro this from LHR week - maybe 30% full into ABZ and 25% full coming south - I know it's summer but I can see a frequency cut on the horizon - especially as there is no direct competition

Based purely on anecdotal evidence from my last few LHR-ABZ flights, we should be seeing Triple Sevens soon!

Sorry to see that Cabro have ceased their training / rental activity at ABZ. Did the first half of my PPL with them and the Class D experience has stood me in good stead.

Looks like the BA Cityflyer charters will be binned from next year - nothing bookable with any of the operators, including the LCY Fri & Sun flights.

So looks like:

AGP & PMI with Barrhead

REU with TCX are all binned

This is the last of Thomas Cook out of ABZ no? Unless they still have that token once a year Tenerife flight.

Given the continued downturn, nearly -16% last month, when does Aberdeen hit the floor?
4 weekly flights from Ryanair isn't going to change much when international traffic is down as well.

Perhaps airport management mismanaged airport growth and missed opportunities during the better years to establish a well connected holiday side instead of focusing on business flights only.

Ryanair

Looking ahead at Ryanair out of ABZ, it looks like Alicante will ramp up to 3x weekly from June, then 4x weekly from August.

AGP currently a steady twice weekly throughout.

Scheduling error or a sign of confidence?

A BIG new route being announced tomorrow as per the Airport social media pages.

They claim it is exciting so presumably somewhere not already served...

In the picture, the lady has the pin just slightly north of Hamburg, not sure if that means anything or not.

In these awful times for the region (Technip another 130 jobs to be lost) we should take anything going right now.

Looks like the airport has cut some sort of deal with RYR.

£70million. It would be cheaper to move the terminal to the other side of the runway!
