I saw in this months Airliner World that GlobeJet who are an ACMI company have registered the 3 L1011's in Greece to be on "Hot Standby" during the summer.
Anyone know what they are up to, plans etc etc.
Would love these fantastic pieces of machinery to come back to the UK permanently.
I would suggest if it's ACMI,then nobody, not even themselves, know what they're going to be up to! By the very nature of the business,it's whatever contracts come in,surely?
Heard the other day that Air Scotland are training Pilots on the Tristar and 737`s. The tie up with Air Scotland and Greece Airways, and the fact the Tristars are being registered in Greece may add some substance to the story. Would be nice to see the T-star in Air Scotland colours.
A little research produced these details-- All aircraft ex Air Transat at some point.
