Hiya Guys,

Does anyone know if GLA will ever have its observation deck back? Photos there are quite limited. Unless anyoone know where to get a decent photo from.

GLA

Yes I know. I used to play all over the airport as a kid. My father was a pilot with BEA till he was killed in a viscount crash in 1973.
I just wish there was a good place to take photos these days. I have heard rumours that they are going to build a new deck.

Hi Mike, The BAA have stated that they are considering building a deck next to thr 23 hold on Abbotsinch Road. It would be on the current farm land on the opposite side of the road but high enough to give a good view of landing and taxying aircraft!

Try over the other side of the airport, just next to the Glasgow flying club(towards a farm area).Mind to keep clear of the crash gates or the police may move you on!Its a good viewing point of most runway/airside movements, spent a few afternoons sat there with my dad when i was "wee" What a nice airport .
