Post PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE POSTING.

Airlines is a message board not a newspaper. A few guidelines to reduce the use of bandwidth and sharpen the threads.

If you wish to post a media source to commence a thread please state your argument first and the relevance of the article. Does it support or dispute your point? This enables later posters to check back whether they are on topic or not, something that becomes an issue once a thread gets up around 10 posts or so.

Post a link for the longer articles.

Try to put your major point across in the first paragraph, that usually determines whether the reader will sustain interest.

When replying to a thread please check whether its relevant and on track. If in doubt, look back to the original thread.

Some of the longer threads provide an important and ongoing history in an industry where change takes place on a daily basis. Moderators are reluctant to interfere in a thread that is often a rallying point and source of information (however tenuous) You can help out here by NOT hijacking and sending the thread off on a tangent.

Any post we consider to be blatant advertising will be edited or deleted. This is at the Moderators' discretion and no discussion will be entered into.

Just a note to the "one liners". Witty some may be.. but if it doesn't add value..it goes.

Many thanks
Hawk, PPRuNe Pop, Blue Eagle.

PS.. D.P.P

Arrow Inactive and/or False Contact details.

From time to time someone finds a post they don't like and hit the 'Report to a Moderator' feature. No problem there.
When I get your messge, (as I did yesterday, concerning the use of actual names in the Leeds Bradford Airport thread), I responded to the email address that came up with the post, along side the username of that person.

As far too often happens I got a message back saying that the email address was invalid, so too, in this case, was the user name.

JUST A REMINDER THEN, IF YOU ARE GONG TO POST ON PPRuNe AND/OR REPORT OTHER POSTS JUST BE KIND ENOUGH TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE CONTACTABLE BY PPRuNe. Failure to do so will bring about the cancellation of your ability to read this website. Thanks. BlueEagle - Moderator.

As these are anonymous forums the origins of the contributions may be opposite to what may be apparent. In fact the press may use it, or the unscrupulous, or sciolists*, to elicit certain reactions.

*"sciolist"... Noun, archaic. "a person who pretends to be knowledgeable and well informed".
